Sam Folkman, beloved husband for 58 years of Marion “Cocoa” Folkman (z”l), devoted father and sidekick of Janice (Steve) Hefter, and father of Tedd, cherished and playful grandfather to Shira and Justin (Lauren), brother of Richard Folkman and Sylvia Pearl (z”l), veteran of World War II, bridge player, Cubs fan, and friend to many. I just ran across this and I am sorry for your loss!

I have great memories of Sam at Mercantile Systems in Lincolnwood in the 80’s.

We had many gags/pranks that we played on each other…..we had Sid as our boss who was a bit of a taskmaster/control freak…….so i would pass Sam’s office and tell him Sid wanted to see him ASAP so Sam would run in Sids office. I would wait a minute and Sam would come out laughing so hard tears would be running down his cheeks……..I got him Sid was sleeping/snoring in his chair…….this happened more than once lol…….he would get me back of course! Good guy Sam!
